With scams on the rise, please be cautious. Do not share your Social Security number, bank account details, or credit/debit card information with anyone over the phone or online — even if the caller ID appears to be your bank or the Social Security Administration.
You should also ignore calls claiming you missed jury duty or threatening legal action from someone saying they are with the sheriff’s department. These are common scam tactics.
